Hom Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has also joined the growing list of Kenyans who want action to be taken on lawyer Guy Spencer Elms.

Through a post on X, Kaluma raised concerns over Elms’ alleged involvement in land fraud, saying that many ordinary Kenyans have reportedly been victims of his schemes.

Kaluma gently drew parallels with the past actions of Philip Ransley, a former High Court judge, who misused his office to exploit vulnerable citizens in land deals.

“It is heartbreaking to hear of lawyers or judges abusing their positions,” Kaluma wrote, urging that proper investigations be carried out to protect the rights of ordinary Kenyans.

According to Kaluma, Elms’ alleged activities have affected people across several counties, leaving many in distress over their lost property.

“We must ensure that our legal system works for the people it is meant to protect,” he added, calling for regulatory bodies to step in and prevent further exploitation.

Kaluma’s remarks come amid ongoing investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), which is reportedly looking into claims that Elms manipulated documents to acquire land unlawfully. While the MP kept his language measured, the message was clear: accountability must prevail.

The post has since resonated with many Kenyans online, who expressed support for action against those who exploit legal loopholes at the expense of ordinary citizens.

Some urged authorities to expedite investigations, while others called for reforms to strengthen oversight in property transactions.

While Kaluma stopped short of harsh condemnation, his statement underscores growing public concern over alleged misconduct in Kenya’s legal and property sectors.

Citizens are now watching closely, hoping that both justice and fairness will guide the outcome of the ongoing probes.
