Popular Kikuyu vernacular radio presenter Muthoni Wa Kirumba, widely known as Baby Top, has claimed that her safety is at risk after her personal contact information and location details were allegedly shared online by former presidential adviser Moses Kuria.
The Kameme FM presenter expressed concern over the incident, saying it exposed her to potential danger and subjected her to unwanted attention from members of the public.
According to Muthoni, she woke up to thousands of phone calls and messages from people who had apparently gained access to her contact details through information posted on social media.
In a statement shared online, the radio personality questioned how such sensitive information was obtained and made public.
She argued that personal data, such as phone numbers and location records, are usually protected and can only be accessed through official channels involving mobile service providers and law enforcement agencies.
Muthoni further called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to investigate the matter and provide answers regarding the alleged breach of her privacy.
She maintained that exposing a person’s private information without consent can put lives at risk and may encourage harassment.
The controversy comes amid growing political tensions on social media. Muthoni has recently faced criticism from some government supporters, who accuse her of using her media platforms to discredit the government and create division among Kenyans.
However, her supporters have defended her, arguing that she is exercising her constitutional right to express her opinions on public affairs.
