YouTuber and media personality Oga Obinna recently found himself under scrutiny, after actress Naomi Kuria, questioned how someone could be pregnant for him without his knowledge.
The question put Obinna on the spot and sparked fresh discussion about the circumstances surrounding the birth of his daughter with his ex-partner, Tallie.
In response, Obinna explained how Tallie became pregnant and admitted that he was not planning to have another child at the time.
His remarks, however, did not sit well with Tallie, who later addressed the issue publicly and expressed concern over the impact of his comments on their daughter’s image.
Tallie took to a social media live session to call out Obinna for repeatedly discussing the circumstances that led to their daughter Ella’s birth.
She said the constant retelling of the story was harming the brand she is trying to build for their child and overshadowing Ella’s individuality and potential.
“I am trying to also build Ella’s brand because she is also a very interesting human being on her own,” Tallie said during the live session. “
I do not want her progress as a child and as the star that she is meant to be to be constantly overshadowed by this narrative that is already on social media. A narrative that I did not bring, by the way.”
Tallie stressed that she wants her daughter to shine without being burdened by conversations about how she was conceived.
She noted that as long as such discussions continue, Ella’s growth and public image will remain clouded by controversy.
“And she cannot shine as long as there is this dark cloud of how she was purportedly conceived hanging over her every single time,” she added.
The exchange has reignited debate online, with fans and commentators weighing in on the responsibilities of public figures when discussing personal family matters.
Many have urged both parents to prioritise their child’s well-being and future, especially in the public eye.
