The immediate former advisor to President William Ruto on economic matters, Moses Kuria, has faulted both President Ruto and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga for sidelining him during Monday’s joint Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting between UDA and ODM lawmakers.
In a post on X, the former Cabinet Secretary expressed disappointment with the outcome of the bipartisan National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) process, saying he had hoped it would pave the way for a referendum in 2027.

According to Kuria, such a move could have addressed what he described as Kenya’s “malignant tumour” in politics, rather than relying on temporary solutions like handshake deals and power-sharing arrangements.
“Sadly, what I saw yesterday was an otherwise promising national moment being reduced to a dowry paid by UDA to ODM,” Kuria wrote. He went on to accuse both coalitions of shutting out smaller constituent parties, claiming the exercise mirrored past failures such as the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Kuria warned that the last chapter of NADCO would end up as “a replica of BBI,” predicting its collapse if inclusivity and meaningful reforms are ignored.

His remarks add to the simmering political debates following the landmark joint PG, which was billed as a step toward unity but has now drawn criticism over lack of broader consultation.
Still in the political scene, it has emerged that Kikuyu Member of Parliament and who serves as the Majority Leader in the National Assembly could be the next to be sacrificed in the upcoming house purge.
Other claim that Ichung’wah is one of the MPs Pres William Ruto has been referring to when he said about corruption being deep-rooted in the corridors of Parliament.
