Blogger Xtian Dela, via his X handle on June 23, Monday, left Kenyans speculating or rather agreeing that indeed there could be a well-orchestrated plan to clear Police DIG Eliud Lagat from the murder of the late blogger and teacher Albert Ojwang two weeks ago.
On the radar, blogger Dela alleged there is a plot by the DCI to have the Central Police Station OCS Samson Taalam’s phone, which is with the IPOA, change hands to the DCI.

“Haiyaaa⚡️Word is spreeeeeading FAST… that the DCI wants to take charge of a PHONE… that is in the CUSTODY of IPOA… the phone is the ONLY link between ELIUD LAGAT and the killing of ALBERT OJWANG… if the phone goes… Lagat walks FREE,” Blogger Dela wrote on X.
The plot, if it succeeds, could see DIG Eliud Lagat escape any form of accountability, owing to the fact that Constable Mukhwna had earlier written a statement saying the order to torture the late Blogger Albert Ojwang came from the DIG himself through OCS Samson Taalam.
It is believed that the phone has a lot of critical evidence that might directly or indirectly pin Police DIG Eliud Lagat to the unfortunate death of the young and talented teacher Albert Ojwang.

The development comes just hours after the Office of Public Prosecutions, through a press release, failed to include DIG Eliud Lagat as one of the persons of interest in the death of the blogger. This is despite DIG Lagat recording a statement with the IPOA late last week.
That notwithstanding, Kenyans, on the other hand, have been left shocked following reports that over Kshs 10,000,000, which had been fundraised to cater for the burial expenses, mysteriously vanished from the bank account of the father, with the family alleging an insider job from the bank.
