Nyeri senatorial aspirant Nick Mararo met groups of professionals and traders across Nyeri County. The discussions focused on business challenges, job creation and opportunities for local economic growth.
In a statement shared on Friday, October 9, 2026, Mararo said he held the meetings on Thursday, October 8, 2026. He explained that the engagements allowed him to hear directly from people working in different sectors.

Mararo engages Nyeri residents
“Yesterday, I met with different professional and traders’ groups from Nyeri to listen to their experiences, concerns and aspirations,” Mararo said.
The Senate hopeful said understanding the challenges facing businesses would help him develop proposals that addressed local needs. He also stressed the importance of involving residents in policy discussions.

“I value such engagements because effective policies must reflect the realities of the people they affect,” he said.
Focus on economic growth
Mararo said the discussions would guide his plans for supporting businesses and creating employment opportunities in Nyeri County.
“Their insights will help shape the practical interventions I champion in support of local enterprise, job creation and economic growth,” he stated.

The engagement followed earlier meetings with different groups across Nyeri. In March 2026, Mararo met traders at Karatina Market to discuss business challenges and opportunities.
He also held talks with cab operators in Nyeri Town. The discussions covered road safety, professional training and improving transport services.
During another engagement in Kieni, Mararo met members of Joy Uniters Sacco in Mbiriri. Their discussions focused on access to credit and support for community businesses.

The aspirant previously outlined plans to support youth empowerment and small enterprises as part of his Nyeri Senate bid.
Mararo is seeking the Nyeri senatorial seat in the 2027 General Election.
He ended his latest statement with the message, “Mbele Pamoja.”
