City tycoon and Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful Agnes Kagure has stepped up her grassroots engagement in Landimawe, where her Mbogi ya Mama initiative distributed foodstuffs to families facing the growing pressure of the high cost of living.

Sharing the initiative on Facebook, Kagure said Mbogi ya Mama had reached families in Landimawe with foodstuffs, offering relief to residents dealing with the pressures of daily life.
“As a mother and a leader, I believe we cannot sit back and watch our people struggle,” Kagure said, while taking aim at county leadership that she described as disconnected from the realities facing ordinary Nairobi residents.
Her intervention has positioned her grassroots activities as an example of the kind of people-centred leadership she says Nairobi needs.
