Veteran gospel singer Justina Syokau has spoken openly about the challenges she faces while raising her child as a single mother and the struggles of co-parenting with her former partner.
In past interviews, she has shared that although she once married a wealthy man, she ended up bringing up their child alone. She also claimed that her former husband is a brother to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Justina said her marriage broke down soon after the birth of their child in 2013. She explained that she had hoped things would change, even after accusing her ex-husband of cheating on her several times.

According to her, she kept praying for him and believed he would become more responsible, but that never happened. Over time, the relationship ended, leaving her to care for their child on her own.
The Twendi Twendi crooner has previously called out her ex-husband on social media, accusing him of neglecting their only child despite being financially able to help. She expressed pain that he supports churches and other causes but does not take care of his own child.
She also revealed that she has asked for a DNA test so that he can confirm paternity and take full responsibility by providing financial support and medical insurance.
Justina further claimed that she once visited Kalonzo Musyoka’s home in Karen after being invited. She said the Wiper Party leader wanted to see the child and meet him in person.
According to her, this meeting gave her hope that her child had at least been acknowledged by the family. However, she added that her efforts to seek justice through the courts have not been successful so far.
While speaking during an interview with Alex Mwakideu, Justina repeated that her baby daddy has not been supportive when it comes to child support. She said the situation has remained difficult for many years, forcing her to struggle alone as she tries to provide for her child.
She shared her experience in her own words, saying:
“I was married in their home in Saikuru. Even Kalonzo met my child and gave him KSh 2000. At least my child has met Kalonzo, his uncle. He called me and said that I should go to Karen, and I took the child because he asked me to come with him so he could see him. He said I have a nice kid,” she said.
Justina continues to speak out about her story in the hope that her child’s father will finally take responsibility and that her long struggle as a single mother will come to an end.
