Nairobi Kenya Development Corporation Director General Norah Ratemo has held high level talks with Principal Secretary in the State Department for Foreign Affairs Dr Abraham Korir Sing’Oei as the country prepares for the Africa Forward Summit and the Nova Garage launch.
The meeting, held as a courtesy call, focused on strengthening collaboration between institutions to advance Kenya’s economic diplomacy agenda.

The engagement comes at a time when the government is intensifying efforts to position Kenya as a leading destination for investment, innovation and enterprise growth.
KDC indicated that the discussions explored opportunities within the digital and creative economy, sectors that continue to attract both local and international interest due to their potential to drive growth and create jobs.

The talks also underscored the importance of coordinated government action in promoting Kenya’s economic interests abroad, while supporting local enterprises to scale and compete globally.
KDC backs youth innovation through Nova Garage partnership
KDC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting innovation driven enterprises through strategic financing, enterprise development and partnerships.
The corporation said it is focused on empowering young innovators, creatives and entrepreneurs across the country.
As the innovation partner for the Nova Garage launch, KDC is supporting a platform aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, attracting investment and accelerating sustainable job creation for the youth.

The initiative is expected to convene key players from across the innovation ecosystem, including policymakers, investors and industry leaders, to explore opportunities within the digital and creative space.
KDC noted that such platforms are critical in nurturing talent, unlocking new markets and strengthening Kenya’s position as a regional hub for innovation.

The Africa Forward Summit and Nova Garage launch are expected to play a key role in showcasing Kenya’s growing influence in the digital economy, as well as reinforcing the country’s commitment to enterprise development and youth empowerment.
