President William Ruto’s son, George Ruto, has finally met popular local prankster Vindee weeks after a prank involving American streamer IShowSpeed went viral on social media.

The meeting comes after George and his team were reportedly misled into believing that IShowSpeed had requested to be ferried around Nairobi in George’s well-known “Mood” matatu during the streamer’s visit to Kenya.

Acting on the information, George and his team went to great lengths to prepare for the anticipated appearance, including branding the matatu with a large image of IShowSpeed’s face at the back of the vehicle.

However, in a dramatic twist, the American streamer was instead ferried in a different matatu, leaving George and his team visibly surprised and sparking widespread online reactions. The incident quickly gained traction on social media, with many users describing it as one of the most elaborate pranks linked to the high-profile visit.

Weeks later, George finally came face to face with Vindee, the prankster widely credited for orchestrating the stunt. During the encounter, George was quoted as saying, “Uliniprank, ulinishandaa,” loosely translating to “You pranked me, you really prepared things well,” acknowledging the effort that went into the hoax.

The light-hearted meeting appeared to put the incident to rest, with many online users praising George for taking the prank in good spirit. The episode has since been viewed as a reflection of Kenya’s vibrant matatu culture and the power of social media-driven moments to capture national and international attention.

The prank not only entertained the public but also highlighted the growing intersection between global internet personalities and local creative culture, turning what began as a moment of embarrassment into a widely shared and humorous story.
