Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has intensified his public attacks on Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo and Nge’ndo Murugu, alleging the existence of a government-linked communication team that he says receives nearly KSh30 million every month.
In a series of posts published on X on Thursday, July 23, Nyakundi stated that the communication operation is based at the Office of the President. He claimed that while the said team receives substantial monthly funding, some bloggers within the network are paid only minimal amounts.
According to the blogger, the said monthly expenditure raises questions about how the money is allocated, who authorises the payments and whether taxpayers receive value for the expenditure.
Nyakundi names Murugu, demands records
Nyakundi further said that the communication team is headed by Nge’ndo Murugu.
He stated that individuals working within the network have accused Murugu of bullying members of the team.

The blogger also questioned the role of the Office of the President, arguing that it should not be associated with what he described as political propaganda or coordinated online attacks against critics.
Nyakundi called for the publication of what he said should include the team’s budget, staff list, contracts, payment records and performance reports to allow public scrutiny.

Fresh pressure on PS Raymond Omollo
The latest posts add to a series of allegations Nyakundi has directed at PS Raymond Omollo in recent days.
Nyakundi maintained that he would not withdraw his remarks and has repeatedly challenged the Principal Secretary to pursue legal action, saying court proceedings would provide an opportunity for documents and records to be examined.
As of publication, neither PS Raymond Omollo, Nge’ndo Murugu nor the Office of the President had publicly responded to Nyakundi’s latest X posts.
