Nairobi Governor aspirant and businesswoman Agnes Kagure has left tongues wagging.
This is after she confirmed meeting Wiper Patriotic Front Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for talks she described as touching on “matters of national importance”.
Through a post shared on her social media pages on Thursday, January 22, 2026, Kagure said the meeting also gave her an opportunity to assure Kalonzo that Nairobi was headed for a major shake-up.
“With H.E Kalonzo Musyoka today where we discussed matters of national importance. I also assured him that like little political dynamite, I am going to blow up rock boulders in Nairobi very soon,” Kagure said.

In the same message, she appeared to push her popular slogan, insisting that Nairobi needed a woman’s touch to fix long-standing challenges affecting residents.
“Dawa ya Nairobi ni Mama, na Nairobi ni Mama wezesha,” she added.
Kagure, who has been steadily growing her influence in the capital, is increasingly being viewed as a familiar face among city residents, especially due to her empowerment programmes targeting women, youth, and other vulnerable groups within Nairobi.
Her academic sponsorship initiative has also earned her praise, with many locals saying it has given bright and needy students a chance to stay in school and pursue their dreams, even when family finances are stretched thin.
Over time, Kagure has also built a reputation for being present during moments of crisis and disasters, often stepping in to support affected families and communities, a move that has strengthened her image as a hands-on leader.

Some Nairobians have even noted that her accessibility and constant engagement with residents makes her stand out, with others saying one could easily mistake her for a very senior government official due to her visibility and influence on the ground.
Her meeting with Kalonzo is expected to fuel more conversation in the city’s political circles, as the race for City Hall continues to attract attention.
Kagure’s supporters say her consistency, community programmes and bold messaging are what is making her a rising force in Nairobi’s leadership conversation.
