Fresh allegations have emerged against American-based medic and Busia hospital investor John Matsekhe, the owner of St. Elizabeth Specialist Hospital in Busia.

This comes after a Kenyan woman identified as Lydia Oginga released WhatsApp screenshots allegedly showing him refusing to support their child while demanding exaggerated gratitude for what she described as tiny contributions.

Also, Lydia has told the world of the last conversation before she gave up the dead beat dad who is not willing to be a responsible man, like other men.

The screenshots, which Lydia shared from her own phone, have ignited an online storm because they appear to show a financially powerful man allegedly contributing the bare minimum while the mother struggles through fees, transport costs and day-to-day expenses alone.

Taking to her Facebook account, she wrote that this was their last conversation before she blocked the owner of St. Elizabeth Specialist Hospital in Busia, saying she had reached a point where she felt humiliated, exhausted and tired of begging.

According to Lydia, while she handled everything surrounding the child, Matsekhe allegedly acted entitled, expecting constant praise even when he helped with a fraction of the total responsibilities.

In one of the WhatsApp screenshots, Lydia (right side of the chat) tells Matsekhe (left side):

Lydia: I only had 86k. Ive paid 66k fees and 17k transport. Fee balance 40k and transport 2k. Hope you can top up that.

Matsekhe responds on the left:

Tycoon: how much i need to add

She then breaks down the numbers again:

Lydia: It was 106k, i have paid 66k balance 40k. Transport is 19k, i have paid 17k balance 2k. Total balance 42k.

But instead of acknowledging her effort or showing concern for their child’s welfare, the tycoon allegedly steers the conversation toward being thanked. One of his messages reads:

Tycoon: When i paid this, what did you tell me?? Thank you.

Lydia’s response is blunt and emotionally loaded, as she attempts to explain everything she has been handling alone:

Lydia: Did you ever thank me for contributing most to the kids life?? Who feeds the baby?? Me. Who buys him medicine?? Me. Who provides shelter and all the nitty gritty?? ME. Did i ever get any form of appreciation??

The tycoon, according to the screenshot, replies in a dismissive tone:

Tycoon: why are you complaining wewe

And follows it up with:

Tycoon: do you even know my situation right now

In another exchange, when Lydia asks why he thinks she should be the one thanking him instead, he replies:

Tycoon: cos you complaining

The conversation ends with a missed call from him, and Lydia telling him she needs peace, before blocking the number.

In her Facebook post accompanying the screenshots, Lydia wrote that she has been doing the most but the tycoon allegedly wanted constant gratitude.

She added that he often used his wealth and past achievements as an excuse, claiming he had spent billions building his hospital.

” Uyu ndio i want his money?? Which money?? His explanation is he’s used billions to build his hospital in Busia. You are capable of building that and I am requesting for bare minimum,” Lydia wrote on Facebook.

The part that stirred the most conversation was Lydia’s warning that she is considering formal action:

“Wewe ni bahati tu ulikuwa nayo i did not take you to court or child’s welfare or US Embassy. But am going to something now ndio hii madharau iishe,” Lydia added.

The allegations have created a debate about financially powerful men allegedly abandoning their responsibilities while hiding behind investment stories, prestige titles and distance.

Although Matsekhe has not issued any public comment on the allegations, the screenshots have placed him at the centre of an uncomfortable conversation about fatherhood, accountability and image versus reality.

For now, Lydia’s evidence, the chats and her emotional explanation have put fresh scrutiny on a man whose reputation in Busia is one of wealth, power and medical excellence.

Whether he responds or remains silent, the story has already travelled far, raising questions that only time and official processes can settle.
