President William Ruto has come out boldly to warn his critics that he is fully prepared to face them in the 2027 General Election, asserting that his development track record is strong and visible across the country.

In a powerful address at State House Nairobi on Wednesday, the President declared that no amount of political opposition or propaganda would derail his administration’s transformation agenda.

“I am ready for the 2027 test. I have a solid report card. I will provide an account of what I have achieved,” said the President, adding that his critics are only good at slogans and lack any real alternative plan for the country.

Ruto spoke while hosting over 500 bishops, pastors, and evangelists from the Federation of Evangelical and Indigenous Christian Churches of Kenya. He used the platform to outline the successes of his government in tackling youth unemployment, economic recovery, agricultural reform, education and health.

He revealed that more than 900,000 youth have benefited from government employment initiatives, including 400,000 placed abroad through labour mobility programmes and thousands engaged in housing projects and digital jobs locally.

Ruto also defended his plan to build a chapel at State House, dismissing claims that the project would cost billions as “language of the devil.”

The President pointed to falling inflation, a stabilised shilling, increased dollar reserves, subsidised fertiliser for farmers, and higher earnings for coffee and sugarcane producers as signs of progress. He also promised the recruitment of 24,000 more teachers by year-end.

Quoting Abraham Lincoln, Ruto reaffirmed his commitment to nation-building and unity, saying his leadership is driven by sacrifice and a clear vision. He urged the opposition to stop inciting youth and instead support efforts to develop the country.
