Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has weighed in on the ongoing troubles facing former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju, urging him to focus on settling his financial obligations instead of engaging in what he termed as “unnecessary drama.”

Speaking during an interview on KTN, Cherargei said Tuju should take responsibility for any outstanding debts, emphasizing that such obligations cannot be avoided.

“I wish Tuju all the best in his financial obligation. The only way I want to advise him is to repay his debt obligation. You cannot run away from your debt obligation by doing unnecessary drama,” Cherargei stated.

The outspoken senator’s remarks come at a time when Tuju is facing mounting scrutiny, including legal and financial challenges that have kept him in the public spotlight.

Tuju had earlier resurfaced after what his family and lawyers described as a mysterious disappearance, before presenting himself to police to record a statement.

However, the situation escalated after the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mohammed Amin, accused him of deception.

According to the DCI boss, Tuju had not been missing as claimed but was instead at his Karen residence during the entire period he was allegedly unaccounted for.
