Agnes Kagure, a well-known businesswoman in Nairobi, is getting more support from young people and local leaders. On Sunday, popular political speaker Nuru Okanga praised her during a video that has now gone viral.
Okanga thanked Kagure for supporting Bunge La Mwananchi, a group of youth and citizens who meet at Jacaranda Grounds to discuss politics and community matters.
“I want to thank Agnes Kagure for coming out and supporting our team here at Bunge. We have many leaders in Nairobi, but it is only Kagure who respects what we are doing,” Okanga said. “In 2027, we are telling Governor Sakaja, one term is enough. We want Kagure.”

People at the event clapped and cheered as Okanga spoke. He also asked Kagure to help them buy a bus and even suggested it should be branded with her name.
Agnes Kagure later replied on her social media pages with a short and cheerful message.
“Senior Gen Z Nuru Okanga, nimepokea salamu zako na za watu wa Bunge La Wananchi,” she wrote. “Miradi zaidi zinakuom. Mbele iko sawa.”
Her message, written partly in Swahili and a bit of Sheng, was simple but meaningful. It showed that she is ready to work with the youth and that more good things are coming.
Many people believe Kagure could run for Nairobi Governor in the next election. She has not officially said so, but her actions are speaking louder than words. She has been meeting different groups, helping communities and showing up where many other leaders are not.
Kagure is known for supporting women, young people and small businesses. Her work in Nairobi has touched many people, and her connection with Gen Z is growing stronger.
One political expert said that Kagure is making smart moves. She is not shouting about politics, but she is winning hearts quietly.
“It is clear she understands what young people want. She listens and shows up. That is powerful,” the expert said.
If she runs for Governor in 2027, Agnes Kagure could bring a fresh voice to Nairobi leadership. And if this weekend’s support is anything to go by, she will not be walking alone.
