A cloud of fear and disbelief hangs over Evojo Primary School in Sabatia Subcounty after dismembered human body parts were discovered in one of the school’s toilets on Tuesday morning, May 6th. The chilling find was made by a pupil during routine cleaning, prompting immediate closure of the school and a full police investigation.

The grim discovery was made by a pupil who had been assigned to clean the toilet block. Upon spotting what appeared to be body parts, the pupil alerted teachers, who immediately contacted the police.
Police commander Peter Mbua confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are underway to determine the identity of the deceased and the circumstances that led to the body being disposed of in such a gruesome manner.
Authorities, including the county disaster management team, arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. Retrieval operations were launched using heavy machinery to extract the remains from the pit latrine.

In the wake of the incident, the school administration made the decision to send all pupils home and close the school indefinitely as a security measure. Parents and local residents have since expressed deep concern over the school’s lack of proper fencing and security surveillance, calling for urgent interventions.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that may help identify the victim or shed light on how the remains ended up on the school compound.
