City tycoon and philanthropist Agnes Kagure spent her Easter Monday in a meaningful way by hosting and sharing a meal with a group of young ladies from a lesser known area of Nairobi.
Kagure posted on Facebook saying
“Getting ready to welcome and break bread with a special group of young ladies from a hidden corner of Nairobi as we share in the blessings of Easter Monday. Wishing you a memorable day make it special and draw blessings from it”
This simple but powerful act was more than just a meal. It was a chance to give hope and guidance to young women. The girls got to interact with a woman who has made her name through hard work compassion and a deep connection with the people.
Giving Back to the Community
Agnes Kagure has become a household name when it comes to philanthropy in Nairobi. She has been at the forefront of many community programs touching the lives of countless people especially women and youth.

She has led anti gender based violence campaigns where she speaks openly and strongly against abuse while pushing for justice and safety for victims.
Through her foundation she has supported menstrual health drives distributing sanitary products to girls in schools to help keep them in class and restore their dignity.
Kagure has also sponsored many bright but needy students helping them access education and chase their dreams. For many families her support has been a game changer.
Whenever disaster strikes she is often among the first people on the ground. Be it fire outbreaks in city slums or other emergencies Kagure shows up with help supplies and comfort. Many Nairobians have come to know her as someone who is always present and reliable even more than some elected leaders.
Eye on 2027
With all this groundwork and goodwill Kagure is not just a philanthropist. She is also preparing for the 2027 Nairobi governor race. After her bid in 2022 she says she has learned important lessons and is now more ready than ever.
She is building her campaign from the ground up putting people at the centre and focusing on real solutions for everyday challenges.
True Leadership Starts with Action
Kagure’s Easter Monday event was just a reflection of the kind of leadership she believes in. One that is close to the people listens to their struggles and offers real help.
Her consistent presence in community work and quick response during emergencies has made her stand out. She has shown Nairobians that leadership is not about titles but about being there when it matters most.
As 2027 draws closer many eyes will be on her as she continues to prove that action speaks louder than promises.
