His journey did not begin with fame or comfort. In the early 2000s, David Owuor was seen preaching on the streets of Nakuru Town, drawing small crowds that often looked unsure or uninterested.

He sometimes wore oversized suits with little attention to style, and many people brushed him off as just another struggling preacher trying to survive through the gospel. At that stage, few imagined that his ministry would grow into a national and even international movement.

Over time, his Repentance and Holiness ministry expanded rapidly. Public gatherings became larger, his message attracted loyal followers, and his movements started to resemble those of high-ranking officials.

Today, he is known for traveling with large entourages that some observers compare to those of heads of state. This change has fueled curiosity and debate about his personal life and the resources behind his ministry.

In recent years, images and videos have circulated showing him leaving a large two-storey mansion.

The white house, designed in a modern style, has a glass balcony and several other buildings within the same compound. A tall white wall surrounds the property, adding to its striking appearance. These visuals sparked renewed discussion about how his lifestyle compares with his humble beginnings.

Earlier reports from around 2018, shared by blogs such as Mpasho.co.ke and Kahawa Tungu, spoke of a mansion under construction in Runda.

These reports, based on unnamed sources, estimated the property’s value at about Ksh 340 million and even mentioned a bunker. However, these claims were never officially confirmed.

More recent coverage by Tuko.co.ke in 2023 listed him among Kenyan preachers said to own luxurious homes. The report described a large property in an upscale area, with features like a swimming pool, but did not confirm exact figures or provide fresh evidence.

There have also been controversies.

In 2019, police investigated a dispute involving a Ksh 1.5 billion apartment linked to a follower’s family, where rental income was allegedly used to support ministry activities.

Together, these stories continue to shape public debate about faith, wealth, and leadership in modern Kenya.
