The incident happened at Java House located at West End Mall, drawing public concern and prompting swift investigations by security agencies.

According to the DCI, the three suspects have been identified as Carlos Owiti, also known as Kalonje, aged 24 and from Nyalenda, Eric Otieno alias Dude, aged 39 from Manyatta, and Vincent Odhiambo alias Tinga, aged 27, also from Nyalenda. The suspects are currently being held in police custody as they undergo processing ahead of their arraignment in court.

The arrest marks a significant step in the ongoing investigations into the attack, which has raised questions about safety and security in public spaces. Detectives have indicated that efforts have been intensified to track down more individuals believed to have been involved in the incident. The operation to identify and arrest additional suspects is still ongoing, with officers following crucial leads.

Authorities have also acknowledged the role played by members of the public in supporting the investigations.

The DCI thanked those who have come forward with useful information, noting that such cooperation has greatly assisted in making progress in the case. They have encouraged more people to continue sharing any relevant details that could help in ensuring all those responsible are brought to justice.

The attack on the senator has attracted attention both locally and nationally, with leaders and citizens calling for accountability and stronger security measures. While details about the motive behind the attack remain under investigation, the arrests signal that law enforcement agencies are actively working to address the matter.

The DCI has assured the public that updates will continue to be provided as the investigations move forward. For now, the focus remains on completing the legal process for the suspects in custody and pursuing any others connected to the incident.
