Nyeri senatorial aspirant Nick Mararo has praised a businesswoman from Ruguru who voluntarily painted his name and 2027 political ambition on her business trolley.
Photos shared alongside Mararo’s statement show a white trolley bearing the words: “Nick Mararo Nyeri Senator 2027.”
Mararo described the branding as a grassroots show of support. He said the entrepreneur was promoting his candidature while continuing with her daily business.
“I appreciate this thoughtful gesture from a hardworking entrepreneur in Ruguru who chose to popularise her candidate while growing her business,” Mararo said.
Ruguru Ward is located in Mathira West Sub-county, according to Nyeri County government records.

“Her initiative reflects the determination and creativity that drive local enterprise while being mindful of the leadership we desire,” he said.
The statement turns an ordinary business trolley into an early campaign symbol as aspirants intensify efforts to build recognition ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Unlike conventional campaign posters placed by organised teams, Mararo presented the trolley branding as an independent decision by a supporter.
He did not disclose the trader’s name or the nature of the business she operates.
“I wish her success and remain committed to supporting an environment where such small businesses can grow,” Mararo added.
Nyeri Senate contest taking shape
Mararo has declared his intention to contest the Nyeri Senate seat in 2027. Public reports have identified him as a Jubilee Party aspirant and entrepreneur seeking to enter elective politics.
The seat is currently held by UDA Senator Wahome Wamatinga.

Mararo is expected to face several aspirants as political alignments in Nyeri and the wider Mt Kenya region continue to develop.
His response to the Ruguru trader indicates that his campaign is seeking to link political mobilisation with small business growth and grassroots participation.
The trolley also gives his campaign visibility outside rallies and organised political events as the race to succeed or challenge Wamatinga gathers momentum.
