Nick Mararo backs Kenya’s youth while calling for peaceful and lawful pursuit of justice.

Nyeri senatorial aspirant Nick Mararo has expressed his support for Kenya’s youth as they commemorate those who lost their lives while fighting for a better country.

In his statement, Mararo said he stands in solidarity with young people across the nation as they honor the memories of those who paid the ultimate price while advocating for justice, accountability, and positive change. He emphasized that the voices, hopes, and aspirations of the youth deserve to be heard and respected, adding that their pursuit of justice should always be carried out through peaceful and lawful means.

Mararo noted that the day is an important moment of reflection for the country. He said the sacrifices made by those who lost their lives should never be forgotten and that their courage continues to inspire many young Kenyans who are seeking a better future.

According to him, remembering these individuals is not only about honoring their memory but also about ensuring that the issues they stood for remain part of the national conversation.

Mararo raised concerns about individuals who may seek to take advantage of the occasion for criminal activities. He strongly condemned acts such as looting businesses, destroying property, harming innocent people, and creating fear among members of the public. He warned that such actions threaten to divert attention from the true purpose of the day and undermine the message being advanced by peaceful protesters.

The leader said that while citizens have a constitutional right to express their views and demand change, there is also a responsibility to ensure that demonstrations remain peaceful. He stressed that meaningful progress cannot be achieved through violence or destruction. Instead, he called for respect for the law, protection of property, and consideration for the safety and well-being of all citizens.

Mararo’s statement reflects the challenge facing many societies during moments of public protest and national reflection.

On one side are citizens seeking to have their concerns addressed, while on the other is the need to maintain order and protect communities from harm. He argued that both objectives can be achieved when people remain committed to peaceful engagement and constructive dialogue.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting young people and championing their aspirations.

Mararo said he will continue listening to the concerns of the youth and standing with them as they seek solutions to the challenges facing the country. He acknowledged that the issues driving many young people to speak out are real and deserve serious attention from leaders and institutions.

Mararo urged Kenyans to remain united and focused on the values that can help move the country forward.

He said the energy and determination of the youth should be directed toward constructive action that promotes positive change.

According to him, a better Kenya can only be built through peaceful advocacy, open dialogue, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to justice for all.
