Jubilee Party’s Lenah Koinange has taken a commanding lead in the Kiambaa Constituency parliamentary survey conducted by Mwelekeo Insights, recording 56.8 per cent support.
Koinange finishes well ahead of her closest challenger, Damaris Waiganjo of DCP, who records 29.7 per cent. Another DCP aspirant, Raymond Kuria, comes third with 3.6 per cent, according to the final results published by Mwelekeo Insights.
Koinange opens lead
The results place Koinange 27.1 percentage points ahead of Waiganjo, while her advantage over Kuria stands at 53.2 percentage points.
The Jubilee politician’s 56.8 per cent also exceeds the combined 33.3 per cent recorded by Waiganjo and Kuria, the two highest-ranked DCP aspirants in the survey.
Other DCP figures remain below five per cent. Kariri Njama records 3.5 per cent, James Gatu gets 1.4 per cent, while Robert Ng’ang’a finishes on 0.2 per cent.
Independent aspirant Stephen Karumbi records 1.2 per cent.
Mwelekeo Insights lists the Kiambaa parliamentary survey among its completed political polls dated October 6, 2026.
Kawanjiku ranks fourth
The poll also places incumbent Kiambaa MP John Kawanjiku of UDA in fourth position with 3.5 per cent, a sharp numerical gap from Koinange’s 56.8 per cent.
Kawanjiku trails Koinange by 53.3 percentage points, while Waiganjo holds a 26.2 percentage-point advantage over the sitting legislator.
Kuria, at 3.6 per cent, also edges Kawanjiku by 0.1 percentage points.
Kawanjiku is the current Member of Parliament for Kiambaa Constituency and represents the United Democratic Alliance (UDA). Parliament records show he has served as Kiambaa MP since July 2021.
The final Mwelekeo Insights ranking therefore places Koinange first at 56.8 per cent, Waiganjo second at 29.7 per cent, Kuria third at 3.6 per cent and Kawanjiku fourth at 3.5 per cent.
