Makadara parliamentary aspirant Geoffrey Wauna, popularly known as Pendeshe, has placed early childhood education and community unity at the centre of his development agenda ahead of the 2027 General Election.
On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Wauna joined parents, teachers and pupils of Njoro Nursery School during a graduation ceremony, where he celebrated the young learners and called for stronger cooperation in improving education.
The aspirant congratulated the graduates for completing an important stage of their learning journey, describing early education as the foundation upon which children’s future opportunities are built.

“Delighted to have joined parents and teachers of Njoro Nursery School during the pupils’ graduation ceremony,” Wauna said.
Education takes centre stage
Wauna urged parents, teachers and community leaders to work together in strengthening education policies and creating opportunities for children.
“Investing in early childhood education is essential to building a strong foundation for our children’s future,” he stated.
His message comes as education stakeholders continue pushing for increased funding and more teachers in early childhood education centres.
For Wauna, improving learning conditions begins with recognising the role of families, schools and communities in shaping children’s development.
“Together, we can create a supportive learning environment that empowers every child to thrive,” he added.
Unity for development
Wauna also emphasised that meaningful education reforms require cooperation rather than divisions among community stakeholders.
“Education is a shared responsibility, and unity is the key to progress,” he declared.

His position echoes broader calls for stronger collaboration between parents and teachers in nurturing children.
The school engagement adds education to Wauna’s public campaign priorities as he seeks the Makadara parliamentary seat in 2027.
With the election approaching, Wauna continues presenting youth development, education and community participation as central priorities of his political agenda.
