An Ena Coach bus travelling to Nakuru turned tense after a woman was accused of stealing a fellow passenger’s mobile phone, leading to anger and confusion among those on board. The normally calm journey was interrupted when one passenger reported that her phone had disappeared, raising concern about safety inside the bus.
At first, the woman suspected of taking the phone strongly denied the accusation and said she had done nothing wrong.
To settle the matter, the bus crew decided to review the CCTV footage installed inside the vehicle. After checking the recordings, they allegedly confirmed that the woman had picked up the phone from another passenger’s seat. This discovery shocked many travelers who had trusted that their belongings were safe during the trip.
When the crew revealed what they had seen, several passengers became upset and confronted the woman. The situation quickly became heated, with loud arguments breaking out inside the bus. Some passengers moved closer to her and appeared ready to attack, creating fear among others who tried to keep the peace. A tense moment followed as people shouted and pointed fingers.
A video that later circulated on social media showed the woman remaining defensive throughout the confrontation. She told other passengers to leave her alone and questioned why they were making such a big issue.

She also claimed that she had already returned the phone and insisted that there was no problem anymore. In the same video, a voice could be heard urging people not to hit her and reminding them that she was a woman.
Despite her explanation, many passengers were not satisfied. Some demanded that she be dropped off in Nakuru, saying they no longer felt safe sharing the bus with her.
One passenger reportedly said that nobody would want to sit next to her or allow her on another vehicle because she might steal again. These comments reflected the level of anger and mistrust that had grown inside the bus.
The Ena Coach crew stepped in to prevent the situation from getting worse. They pulled the woman back inside the bus and tried to calm everyone down so the journey could continue without violence.
After the video went viral, the incident sparked debate online. Many people discussed whether men and women are treated differently when accused of crimes. Others focused on the need for stronger security measures on public transport to stop theft.
