Boost to Kagure’s 2027 bid after getting new endorsement

City tycoon Agnes Kagure’s campaign for Nairobi Governor in 2027 has received a major boost after she was officially endorsed by the Bunge La Wananchi People’s Assembly.

The endorsement was made during a county-wide meeting held in Westlands Constituency over the weekend. The forum brought together representatives from all 85 wards in Nairobi to discuss the kind of leadership the city needs.

After hours of discussions, the group picked Kagure as the most suitable candidate to lead the capital. They praised her strong background in business and her ongoing efforts to uplift youth and women through various empowerment programs.

“Agnes Kagure is not just talking—she has been doing the work. She has helped many people, especially young people and women, to start businesses and build better lives,” said James Otieno, a representative from Embakasi.

Kagure, a successful businesswoman in the real estate and insurance industries, has been running projects that offer skills training, mentorship, and financial support to those in need. Many see her as a leader who understands the struggles of ordinary Nairobians.

Speaking at the event, Kagure thanked the assembly for their trust and support. “I’m truly honored. This means a lot to me. I promise to continue working hard and to lead Nairobi in a way that benefits everyone,” she said.

The endorsement puts Kagure ahead of many other potential candidates and shows growing support for her vision of a better, more inclusive Nairobi.
