Under the exemplary leadership of Dr. Jane Mwikali Makau, Chairperson of the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB), Kenya has once again taken center stage at the Gaming Tech Summit 2025!

Out of 22 participating countries across Africa, BCLB clinched:

All the same, under Dr. Mwikali’s era as BCLB boss, Kenya has achieved huge milestones in regards to betting and gambling regulations. From cracking down illegal betting companies to doing away with exploitative means gambling companies have been using to exploit the common and ordinary man in the economic pyramid. Also under Mwikali’s tenure, she has made it easy for the BCLB to embrace modern technologies that has made it possible for the watchdog to detect and improve on areas of concerns when it comes to betting and gambling in the nation.

Mwikali will remain to be remembered as the woman leader who stood in the gap and ensured BCLB under went pivotal reforms to be what it is today unlike some years back.
